Recently rehabilitated, the San Damián Fort Interpretation Center emerges as an extraordinary viewpoint from which to look out over a unique and extremely beautiful natural environment, that of the Ribadeo estuary integrated into Reserva de la Biosfera Río Eo, Oscos e Terras de Burón.

The San Damián Fort IC, inaugurated to commemorate the 400th anniversary of its construction, seeks to bring visitors closer to the history and evolution of this building, declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 1994, and which is closely linked to the development of the port and the town of Ribadeo itself.

Influencing the conservation and improvement of this unique heritage resource, its rooms and architecture offer the visitor a four-century itinerary through the history of one of the most important heritage resources of the town of Ribadeo.
